Two types of outdoor air conditioner units have been recalled Australia-wide due to fire risk.

The Seeley International Braemar SCHF21C3S and Braemar SCHF25C3S, have been recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission due to defects that could cause a fire.

The Victorian Country Fire Authority says people "may put their lives and the lives of the ones they love at risk" if they use the models, sold between October 14, 2016 to March 28, 2018.

Consumers should stop using the air conditioner immediately and contact Seeley International on 08 8328 3844 or productupgrade@seeleyinternational.com to arrange a service technician to replace the faulty capacitors.
