We all love a good ol’ Golden Gaytime ice cream on a boiling hot day here in Australia.
It’s almost a rite of passage to try one, isn’t it?
Well, we all love them, but when you’re trying to get through summer on a budget they aren’t the cheapest thing when you’re buying one every afternoon to survive the heat.
So, Aldi has jumped to the budget-loving person’s rescue to drop some cheaper imitation versions of the iconic ice cream!
One mum took to an Aldi fan page to share the news of the ‘summer delight’ ice creams that “Tastes just as good as a Golden Gaytime… love my Aldi ice creams… yummo.”
They’re going for $3.99 a box (which has six servings). Gaytimes go for around $8.50 per box of four.
Don’t worry Golden Gaytimes, we’re still going to splurge on you when we run to the servo for some snacks!
