Australian Survivor has been rocked by an immunity challenge controversy!

On Monday night's episode, contestants found themselves competing for immunity by lying on a sloped surface suspended above the ocean. To keep themselves from falling, they had to hold onto a bar above their heads.

By the end of the challenge, contestants were only able to hang from the bar with one hand. The eventual winner was Pia, after both Luke and Simon dropped off within seconds of each other.

But fans on Twitter were convinced that Pia had briefly held up both hands before Luke dropped off. If true, this would have meant instant disqualification.

The debate continued online today, to the point that production company Endemol Shine released an official statement to put an end to the controversy.

"At the split second Luke was coming off and Pia was reaching up it was determined that Pia was the winner of the Challenge. All that were there saw the win play out this way."

Do you think that clears it up?
