Our iconic Story Bridge is getting a makeover ahead of its 80th birthday.
Council will announce today a 5-year project involving repainting the structure for the first time since it opened.
The $80M project will begin after September's Riverfire event.
The existing paint will be blasted off before the bridge is scrubbed clean and a whopping 33 thousand litres of paint will be used to give it a refresh.
