A single vehicle accident that happened around 4:25pm yesterday has claimed the life of 45-year-old Stanthorpe man.
As a result of preliminary investigations police reports indicate the accident happened in Dalcouth when the man was travelling along Amosfield Road, the car crashing into a tree on the side of the road.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating circumstances surrounding the crash.
