We have the fifth highest credit card debt level in Australia – when it comes to the point where it causes stress.
Currently, Aussie households have a whopping $52.5 billion on the plastic.
A poll from Finder.com also shows men are a bit more easy going when it comes to credit card debt than women. Men become concerned with their debt reaches $4999, while women start to feel anxious at $3605.
The advice is to go for a 0% interest rate card if you have multiple credit accounts, and try to repay the balance in full during that period. The Federal Government's Money Smart website also has tips.
