Over 30 people have been caught with illegal drugs at the Mountain Sounds Music Festival held at the Mount Penang Gardens over the weekend.

Police say 34 charges were laid following a drug operation at the event, which included sniffer dogs. While Ambulance Paramedics treated numerous others for drug-related incidents at the scene.

However, police say behaviour at the event was generally good, with no other major incidents to report.

6,500 revellers attended this year's sold-out event.
