Elderly Man Critical After Being Mauled By A Dog In Adelaide's North

An elderly man has been left fighting for life in hospital after being mauled by a dog in Adelaide's north. 

The 72-year-old was visiting a friend at a house on Princess Street, Willaston when he slipped and fell, the dog attacking him around 7pm.

He was airlifted to hospital with serious head and neck injuries and remains in a critical condition.

The owners of the Mastiff Cross are believed to be putting the dog down.

The Council has been notified.
