Ettalong Channel Dredging To Kick Off Today

Ferries suspended since May.

26 July 2018

Excitement on the Peninsula this morning, as dredging will today start pumping sand out of the clogged up Ettalong Channel.

The state government expects work to finally kick off, after the project's seen a series of delays trying to get machinery in the water since May.

It'll removeĀ 25,000 cubic metres of marine sand, hoped to clear the path for ferry services to Sydney's northern beaches.
