Expectant NSW parents will now have easier access to support services, following a pledge of $1 million to the Gidget Foundation Australia, in support of perinatal mental health of both new and expectant parents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanks to the NSW Deputy Premier, John Barilaro and the Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth & Women, Bronnie Taylor, the NSW Government has agreed to increase funding for the mental well being of expectant parents, on account of recent statistics reflecting 81% of new and expectant parents, admitted to being more anxious since COVID-19 hit the Australia.

Bronte & Sam chat with CEO of the Gidget Foundation Australia, Arabella Gibson, who elaborates on the benefits of increased funding to support perinatal parents and makes a very exciting announcement.

Arabella tells us all about the launch of a new counselling service, explains why parents are feeling more vulnerable than ever and offers some self-care tips to help guide expectant parents through these stressful times.
