Latrobe City Council has voted unanimously in favour of adopting an alternative motion to keep the Hazelwood Pondage Caravan Park open over the Christmas period.
The site was originally due to close this morning, but the new motion with the council will hopefully enable the popular park to reopen in time for one final Christmas season.
With Engie dropping the water level of Hazelwood Pondage, the Caravan Park will officially close on 14th January due to Latrobe City Council being unable to guarantee firefighting services.
