This morning as I arrived at the radio station, a gentleman was waiting at the front door and I could only think that he needed help.
The gentleman had lost his phone in flood waters, so had no way to contact emergency services for his neighbour who he was worried about.
What happened next completely pulled on my heart strings and it became overwhelming to speak about on air with Cliffo & Gabi.
I sincerely hope you are all being safe and checking on those around you during this extreme weather event.
A lot of us haven't seen rain like this in Townsville before, so text, call, knock on their door- whatever you need to do to check on people- do that.
