JetGo cuts down on Port to Melbourne flights

Fewer passengers than expected

JetGo reps say they can't compete with cheaper fares in Coffs Harbour and Newcastle, as the airline's set to rip a number of Port Macquarie to Melbourne flights off its schedule.

Wednesday services to go for this winter as they're not proving as popular as the carrier had anticipated.

Fairfax Media reports JetGo's made the decision as it's discovered Mid North Coast travellers are willing to drive to other regional airports to board less expensive flights to the Victorian capital.
