And if you need to know what Sue's SAFE organisation is all about, have a read of this:
As we move towards a society which no longer tolerates the euthanasia of rehomable animals, SAFE branches continue to play a vital role in this shift.
When SAFE first began in Karratha in 2003, euthanasia of healthy, rehomable pets was still regarded as a necessary evil by many people.
Since then, there has been much positive discussion and growth, and this mindset has now changed. There has been huge progress in establishing the foster care model as a means of achieving zero euthanasia of rehomable pets and I am pleased that SAFE is a forerunner in the shift from institutionalised care.
Well done Sue! What a great mission!
