Did someone say... Free Household Chemical Disposal Day?!

If you have a random box of chemicals you need to dispose of, we have the perfect solution. On Saturday August 3rd, from 9AM until 1PM, locals will have the opportunity to dispose of their chemicals without poisoning themselves AND the environment.

All you'll need to do, is collect your chemicals and head on down to the Koonwarra Transfer Station, where the trained Detox team will do the rest for you.

There are only a couple of things you should take note of before disposing of chemical waste...

Firstly... If you're planning on getting rid of a container larger than 20 litres or 20 kilograms, the Detox team will not be able to a accept them for safety reasons. SO please try to limit your containers to under 20 litres.

Secondly... Please try to bring whatever chemical waste you might have in disposable containers, because.. you know... the environment.

For the full list of items that will and will not be accepted, follow the link to the sustainability Victoria website.
