The first season of Love Island Australia was a strange one.
A lot of our sexy singles weren’t actually interested in each other, and the couple who won broke up almost immediately because one secretly had a girlfriend on the outside.
There was also some blonde chick called Kim who didn’t speak and a DJ who just left unexplainably one episode.
But one couple who seemed to have lasted almost a year was Tayla Damir and Dom Thomas, who ended up getting together after the show ended.
Both ‘Islanders’ gathered a social media following when on the show, and after beginning a relationship on the outside, the pair started a YouTube channel titled Stitched Up By Tayla & Dom, where they would play pranks on each other.
As of now, they’ve uploaded a total four videos and have over 78.6K subscribers.
Their last video however, is a quick update to tell us all that they are over!
Titling the video ‘Answering Your Question: Have We Broken Up?' the pair announced that there is “no story” and “no drama” behind the split:
“We're just in different paths and directions in our lives… we hope that everyone can respect our privacy and respect that we're still fine and still mates.”
Take a look:
How odd.
The only Love Island Australia couple still happily trucking along is Josh Moss and Amelia Marni:
