Medical Rural Training Hub Headed To Latrobe Valley

New opportunities for our young doctors

4 July 2017

A Rural Training Hub for medical graduates is a step closer for Latrobe Valley.

The Monash University Certification Program will offer a Rural Generalist specialisation to young doctors, which will enable graduated physicians to move out of metro areas like Melbourne and Sydney.

Assistant Health Minister David Gillespie told Hit FM this morning that training hubs like this will provide more opportunities for general surgeons or general medical

specialists in addition to advanced skills general practitioners.
