Melbourne's Tram Staff To Strike

They've voted to take industrial action

8 August 2019

It’s looking more and more likely that Melbourne’s trams could stop as hundreds of hundreds of tram drivers and customer service staff vote to take strike action.

The Rail, Tram and Bus Union is preparing to take industrial action.

This might include walking off the job, refusing to wear uniforms, accept roster changes or do voluntary over time.

This comes after Metro Trains staff announced they’ll be walking off the job for two Mondays, leaving commuters with free travel.
