More support for locals with personality disorders

Project Air to roll out in Murrumbidgee

26 July 2018

People across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District experiencing personality disorders will have access to more support by 2020, with a $5.5 million project rolling out.

Project Air, a collaboration between the state government and the University of Wollongong, involves the expansion of specialised clinics and staff training.

It's aiming to ensure personality disorders are diagnosed earlier, and tailor treatments to reduce time spent in hospital.

It’s already operational in 11 Local Health Districts, with Mental Health Minister Tanya Davies says it’s significantly reducing presentations to emergency departments and shortening hospital stays.
