Anyone who uses public transport in Melbourne will know the frustration: you hit “No” to the option to receive a receipt at the machine– and then two churn out.
The former Liberal government promised to fix the issue a whopping seven years ago – but now Public Transport Minister Melissa Horne says it’s finally been fixed.
She said a software updates more than 500 Myki machines will stop producing unwanted receipts.
Why it's taken so long is unclear - but for now we'll see less litter and less paper wastage which can't be a bad thing.
