A new 20 bed youth residential rehabilitation centre will be established in Morwell to help young people battling drug and alcohol addiction.
The facility will provide 24-hour supervision for people aged between 16 and 21, providing social and life-skill development to patients, as well as relapse prevention and individual counselling.
The location of the site is yet to be determined, but the state government hopes to buy land as soon as possible and go to tender next year.
