Military style ammunition has been found on a property in Telarah.
Police were called to a house in Brooks Street at about 3:30pm yesterday following a tip off about a stolen motorbike.
Officers found the bike and also a box in the shed containing three ordnance shells.
Neighbours were told to evacuate as a precaution as authorities checked if the ammo was still active.
They were quickly deemed safe and were taken away by personnel from the Williamtown RAAF base.
