South Burnett energy prices continue to soar and the issue stands as one of the biggest in the region.
Currently, there is only one energy provider available to residents to sign up with when moving into a house.
Nanango MP Deb Frecklington wants to see more providers made available which she believes will then drive down pricing across the board.
Ms Frecklington says she would like to see regional households save up to $300 per year on their bills adding there is so much work to do in this sector.
