P-plater allegedly crashes car drink driving in Port

A 39-year-old man heads to Port Macquarie court in June after allegedly slamming his car into the back of a truck while drink-driving.

The suspended red P-plater suffering cuts to his hands and knees after hitting the B-double around 8pm overnight.

Police took him back to the station for a breath test.

He was charged with high-range PCA.

It's alleged he told police he had no idea when he started or how much he'd had to drink, and that he was homeless and sleeping in his car.

The green-blue Proton was left stuck on Blackbutt Road for some time, blocking southbound traffic.
