T1 International terminal travellers will now be able to catch some shut-eye between flights or whenever a sleep is needed thanks to the testing of new GoSleep Pods.

Aimed at travellers desperate for sleep between a long stop over or for those who’ve landed overnight and need a rest, the pods a designed similar to beds in business class and offer hand luggage & suitcase storage, pillows, a blanket, USB and GPO plugs, and a shade cover for privacy.

The pods will be available for pre-booking online for $14 an hour, or $50 for up to five hours.

They are the first to be introduced in Australia and come via a partnership with Smarte Carte and Finnish company GoSleep.
