Plans for a new Child Care Centre for Toowoomba’s CBD are in the pipeline.
The city planned centre, if approved, will be located across the road from Grand Central Shopping Centre with owners Queensland Investment Corp (QIC) submitting plans to Toowoomba Regional Council last week.
The plans show the centre would be developed on five CBD blocks between Grange and Hill Streets.
The planning report indicates the centre will provide both indoor and outdoor play areas, seven indoor activity rooms, four bathrooms, three preparation rooms, three outdoor storage areas, laundry, kitchen, cold room, interview room, office, reception and a staff room.
The Chronicle reports that the two-storey centre would cater for over one hundred children and employ more than 20 staff.
