Plain clothes and Uniformed police will be patrolling public transport in and around Cootamundra from now until Sunday as part of Operation PTC Explorer.
It got underway yesterday, with officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Unit riding the country rail network, patrolling hotspots and supporting local officers through until Sunday.
They're targeting anti-social behaviour, violent crime, drug offences and property theft
