South East Police will be running Operation Safe Long Weekend over the next 4 days and are warning drivers they'll be out in force.
With a target on speeding, drink and drug driving and distracted driving, locals are being encouraged to plan ahead if planning on drinking at events or heading on big trips.
The operation is focusing on high risk behaviour in the hopes we'll have a very safe weekend on the states roads.
The operation commences from 3pm today.
