Local Rural Fire Service members who volunteered their time as part of the Region South Taskforce sent to the Queensland bushfires have been praised upon their return to Wagga.
The thirty-three members deployed came from the Riverina, Southern Border and Mid-Murray zones.
They left Wagga on Monday morning, and were at the fire front that night, providing assistance and relief for their exhausted colleagues up north.
