A 21 year old Rockhampton man is in Mackay Hospital following a collision with an Emu.
He was riding his Harley towards a Moranbah mine yesterday afternoon on Marlborough Sarina road when he hit at high speed.
The Mackay based RACQ CQ Rescue chopper airlifted him in a stable condition with a possible broken leg, cuts and abraisons.
Sadly the Emu died at the scene.
