Welcome to all my cheap friends who, like me, saw the word ‘free’ and had to find out more about this story.
In some bizarre, I’m-still-waiting-for-the-catch news, Electronic Arts has decided to make The Sims 4 free for folks to download on Mac or Windows PC via Origin until May 28th.
The move comes after EA recently released the Get Famous and Strangerville expansions, so the complimentary Sims 4 will be the standard edition, which is still pretty great.
When scoring your free game, there’s also the option of buying the Digital Deluxe edition for $49.99…. But that’s not free, so...
As you can imagine, some people are cheering, while those who already purchased the game last year are minus-ing so hard right now.
