Southwest towns dominates in 2018 Tidy Towns Awards

The finalists for Keep Australia Beautiful Council’s 2018 Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards have been named.

Four Southwest communities - Collie, Greenbushes, Margaret River and Waroona - are all up for the major Tidy Town award, along with Port and South Hedland and West Arthur.

 

Keep Australia Beautiful Council’s Chairman, Michael Aspinall, said he was impressed with the entries.

 

“These State finalists have demonstrated to the judges their strong community engagement, partnerships, innovation and environmental initiatives,” he said.

 

“I congratulate communities for making positive environmental, social and economic changes and for planning for a sustainable future for their community.”
