Rice Extension and AgriFutures Australia are launching the 2019 Rice Industry Awards, an all-new initiative celebrating the success of the rice industry.
The Award categories will include Grower of the Year, and Rice Extension Highest Yield for C19. Winners will be announced in August 2019 at the RGA Annual Conference, followed by a Grower of the Year Field Day in December 2019.
Murray region Rice Extension Officer, Troy Mauger, said that the launch of the Rice Industry Awards is a milestone for the industry and a way to showcase what growers have achieved through new farming practices.

Nominations will open in March 2019, with more details available in the new year.
