The Riverina Schools Getting New Air Con Units This Summer

Is your school on the list?

28 November 2018

No more classrooms full of sweaty children, no more cranky teachers, and no more dead arms from fanning yourselves with heavy books all day.

It's time to pull out the party poppers and celebrate because FORTY-ONE public schools in the region are set to have new air conditioning systems installed in their classrooms and libraries!

Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Education Minister Rob Stokes announced the list of schools to be the first to receive funding under the $500 million program, Cooler Classrooms.

Schools in areas that have an average max January temperature of 30+ degrees will automatically receive air conditioning, solar panels and smart systems so schools can offset their additional energy use.
