If you thought Hollywood was going to start slowing down on the sequels, prequels, remakes and reimagining, you would be surely mistaken.
Variety has this morning confirmed that The Matrix will be getting a fourth sequel, with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss both slated to reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity!
The film will be written and directed by the series’ original co-creator Lana Wachowski, with Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich stating, “We could not be more excited to be re-entering ‘The Matrix’ with Lana.
“Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in ‘The Matrix’ universe.”
