Three men have been charged with affray following a wild post-siren crowd brawl at the AFL season opener at the MCG.

Police confirmed on Wednesday that two men aged 19 and another man, 21, have been charged and released but their bail conditions prevent them from attending any AFL games.

"Police will not tolerate behaviour that is not respectful of people who are present at the game," Superintendent David Clayton told reporters.
