Councillor Greg Conkey will serve another two-year term as Mayor of the City of Wagga, after he defeated Councillor Vanessa Keenan in last night’s election, six votes to three.
Cr. Conkey says it's a privilege to be elected for another two years, and he understands why it's a such a sought-after position.
Meantime, Cr Dallas Tout was also re-elected to his position of Deputy Mayor, attracting six votes, he defeated Cr Dan Hayes on two votes and Cr Tim Koschel on one vote.
