A severe thunderstorm warning for damaging winds and large hailstones has been issued for the Southeast Coast and parts of Wide Bay and Burnett Forecast Districts.
BOM has advised severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Gold Coast, Brisbane, Maroochydore, Gympie, Kingaroy, Caboolture, Coolangatta, Ipswich, Cherbourg, Jimboomba, Mount Tamborine and Redcliffe.
